Sunday, Day 1, Arrival – Antigua (D) (Unguided)
Guests are met & transferred to Antigua (1hr). Guests will have a welcome cocktail presentation at their hotel on Guatemala in general. Guests will have dinner at their hotel. Panza Verde 3N

Monday, Day 2, Market & Cooking Lesson (B,L,D) (Guide HD)
In the morning guests will enjoy a visit of the local market where they will get an introduction to local produce. Lunch will be in a local restaurant where guests are able to taste the traditional food. In the afternoon guests will enjoy a cooking class in where they will be teached how to prepare local dishes. In the evening guests will have a special dinner with wine selection at a restaurant in town.

Tuesday, Day 3, Coffee Farm & Textiles (B,D) (Guide HD)
Guests visit the local woodcarvers in the village of Jocotenango & then the fabulous Azotea Coffee Farm & Maya Traditions Museums covering traditional music, costume & traditions. In the afternoon guests will enjoy a textile tour with our textile specialist in Antigua or to nearby villages as required. In the early evening guests will enjoy a wine tasting event which will be followed by a special private dinner on a private terrace at Panza Verde.

Wednesday, Day 4, Transfer to Lake Atitlan & Maya Presentation (B,D) (Unguided)
Guests will have a free morning to explore more of Antigua or just to relax at their hotel. In the afternoon guests will be transferred to Lake Atitlan (2.5 hr) where they will enjoy a presentation by a Mayan Specialist. Guests will be able to taste different cocktails before dinner starts. Overnight Casa Palopo, 3N • Upgrade with helicopter sightseeing transfer

Thursday, Day 5, Chichi market (B,L,D) (Guide FD)
Today guests transfer approx. 1hr to the famous market at Chichi. Time for shopping in this fabulous craft market and an opportunity to see Maya rituals being performed in the Catholic Church before transferring back to their hotel. At the hotel guests will enjoy sunset drinks at the lake shore followed by a special tasting dinner with wine Selection at Casa Palopo.

Friday, Day 6, Lake Tour (San Juan, Santiago) (B,L,D) (Guide FD)
This morning guests will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where they can visit the women’s textile cooperative to see hand weaving and natural dye process. Also here visit the studios / homes of the celebrated naïf painters. From here guests continue to the village of Santiago where they tour the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya. Guests will have a “Gala” dinner at Casa Palopo.

Saturday, Day 7, Transfer Out (B) (Unguided)
This morning our driver will transfer guests to the airport (approx 3 hours) in plenty of time to catch their flight. 3 Night:  Food & Wine extension to Copan (CI-G-097) COPAN RUINS, COOKING LESSON

Saturday, Day 7, Copan (Honduras) – Dinner & Presentation with archaeologist (B,D) (Unguided)
Transfer across Guatemala towards the border with Honduras. Just across the border you are in the pretty colonial village of Copan Ruinas. (5hrs) Free afternoon to relax or explore this pretty colonial town. In the evening guests will be transferred to the house of archaeologist David Sedat where they will enjoy a traditional home cooked meal and a VIP presentation on the archaeology program at Copan. Hacienda San Lucas 3N. • Upgrade with private charter flight

Sunday, Day 8, Copan Site & Bird Park (B,L) (Guide in each place)
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the Maya Site of Copan. Enjoy a private guided tour of Copan Ruins site with its famous hieroglyphic staircase, ball court and tunnels. Lunch is in the tropical bird park where guests can also enjoy a visit of this beautiful facility looking after rescued tropical birds & working to educate people about conservation. Upon the return in the hotel guests will make tortillas in the traditional Maya kitchen at the Hacienda. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner at their hotel.

Monday, Day 9, Cooking lessons (B,D) (Unguided)
Guests will enjoy a day of cooking at the Hacienda where they will learn how to make tamales, tortillas etc. In the evening guests will have dinner at their hotel..

Tuesday, Day 10, Transfer out
Guests are met at their hotel by their driver for the private transfer to San Pedro Sula airport (3 hrs) or back to Guatemala City (5hr)  in plenty of time for their international departure.• Consider a beach extension to Roatan • Consider an extension to Pico Bonito Rainforest • Upgrade with private charter flight
